Blog 6. Time travel to the future

Hello everyone!馃懡馃懢 Today I will talk to you about traveling to the future. If it were possible, I would like to know the 24th century. I imagine a connected world and space, where travel would be very simple, and each person could have their own spaceship. I think society will be as shown in science fiction movies, something like Blade Runner, with robots and artificial humans, modified with bioengineering, who will be the future slaves of jobs not wanted by real humans. Nature and other forms of life will also be replaced, as well as food, by other elements that generate less energy expenditure for the planet.                                       I really don't know how travel through time and space could work, but a lot of progress has been made in aerospace technologies. In this regard, it was announced that the International Lunar Research Station will allow mankind to develop var...

Blog 5. My future job

¡Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about my job expectations.   In the future, I hope to work as a bioarchaeologist in a scientific institution, ideally a museum. In this place, I imagine a laboratory, with technological instruments that will allow me to conduct research. The idea of working in a museum is not only related to being in enclosed spaces, because it also involves traveling and going to archaeological sites to record, excavate and survey them, so you can actually enjoy the outdoors and get to know different places, communities, cultures and realities. When I finish my studies, I would like to visit different museums in the country and the world, to see how cultural materials are handled and preserved, but mainly human bones and mummies. As for income, the truth is that the salary of a public employee in Chile is adjusted to grades according to service years, but it increases with specialization and the passage of time. Currently, I am studying my second c...

Blog 4. Free themed topic: Islands

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about the islands in the Biob铆o region of Chile. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to meet them on different occasions in my life. This region has three islands, from north to south, called Quiriquina, Santa Maria and Mocha. Quiriquina is a small island located in Concepci贸n Bay, currently administered by the Chilean Navy. Santa Maria island belongs to the Coronel Commune and has approximately 2200 inhabitants. Mocha is located approx. 40 km off the coast of the province of Arauco and has 800 inhabitants. In the center of the island there is a small mountain. It is very beautiful because it is covered with native forest and is part of the Isla Mocha National Reserve. The three islands can be reached by boat, but since Mocha is further away and the sea in that area has plenty of waves, aircraft are often used. In the Santa Maria and Mocha islands, the inhabitants’ principal activities are fishing and herding. In addition, numerou...

Hi! In november 2019 I went on vacation to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is one of the most fun cities I know, although I only went for a week, I had the opportunity to visit many places with my partner. We went to museums, art exhibitions, Christ the Redeemer and Sugar loaf Mountain, we also visited different beaches and enjoyed a lot of “ caipirinhas ”.  One of the things that I liked the most was the warmth of the people, the food, partying and the transport system. Something great about the Rio is that some stores are open 24 hours, also they have a lot of fruits and the beaches are next to the city, so you can go at any time. This has been the best place I have known so far, because life feels more relaxed and happy.  The truth is that we went to “Rock in Rio”, a festival where many fabulous concerts take place. This was one of the reasons why I wanted to visit this amazing city.

My favorite country is Italy, officially called Italian Republic. It's located in Europe and its capital is Rome, the most populated city of the country with 2.8 million inhabitants of the 60 million people living in the country. The weather is Mediterranean, and since it's a peninsula, it's surrounded by the warm adriatic, ionian and thyrrenian seas. The food in Italy is mostly known because of pasta, lasagna and pizza, but they also have very good desserts like tiramisu or some of the best ice creams in the world. I would love to work restoring historical art pieces, sculptures or buildings from archaeological sites or in the cities historical centres, since there are many Etruscan and Latin cities that were founded thousands of years ago that are still populated. There are many good Italian universities that offer scholarships and cheap post graduate courses of high level, and that makes it a good country to live with my family while studying.
